Bracher Park is located in an established neighborhood, and was in need of updating to meet ADA codes, and City of Santa Clara’s standards for community parks. Verde Design provided conceptual plans, final design, and construction documents that would allow the city to move forward with the replacement of the existing playground equipment and resilient surfacing, and the development of the picnic area with a new accessible ramp.
The design included new observation areas with benches, and seat walls integrated into the perimeter curbing. The existing sand was replaced with an ADA-compliant Fibar resilient surfacing and drainage system. The project also included new landscaping and irrigation, which provides a pleasant environment and shade for the picnic and observation areas.
