As a step in fulfilling the plan to improve the public realm and cultivate activity in targeted areas of the Downtown District, the San Jose Downtown Association selected Verde Design to provide design services for the median and streetscape improvements along portions of South Almaden Boulevard and Park Avenue, which was identified as a focus area in the Street Life Plan. With its existing and proposed businesses and cultural attractions, Almaden Boulevard will play an integral role in this expansion of the Downtown PBID, offering a connection westward to attractions like Guadalupe River Park the Children’s Discovery Museum, SAP Center, and Diridon Station.
