Along with BKF Engineers and Gonzalez Architects, Verde Design was part of the project team selected to rebrand Airport Place in San José. Spanning several blocks and offering restaurants, banks, and offices, Airport Place was in need of an update to improve the visibility of existing businesses and attract new tenants. Replacing over 86,000 square feet of turf, the new plant palette consists of low water use grasses, perennials, and mow-free sod. In addition, the existing spray irrigation was converted to a drip system. Together the new planting and irrigation design decreases water use and maintenance requirements while providing new visual interest.
