Lawrence Station is a newly developed mid-rise office building situated at the intersection of Kifer Road and Lawrence Expressway in Santa Clara. This project consolidates multiple parcels into a cohesive technology campus, featuring a modern five-story office structure with a landscaped rooftop deck. Adjacent to this building is a proposed five-level parking garage and an existing three-story office facility. Verde Design was responsible for creating the construction documents for the exterior grounds, which include areas built atop an underground parking structure. The design emphasizes sustainability, incorporating drought-tolerant landscaping and water-efficient drip irrigation, along with outdoor plaza spaces that feature patios, bike parking, a bike repair station, and a bocce court.
Additionally, Verde Design crafted the rooftop terrace, which spans 4,100 square feet and includes modular planters of varying heights, complemented by a mix of tile and wood panels on a pedestal system. This arrangement fosters diverse seating options, such as benches, café tables, and sofas, all strategically placed to maximize the stunning views. The selected plantings, consisting of drought-resistant trees, shrubs, and grasses, are specifically chosen to thrive in the terrace’s windy conditions.
