The two projects aimed at replacing the synthetic turf at Silver Terrace and Youngblood-Coleman Play Fields commenced with a thorough assessment and analysis of the current field drainage system and underlying base. Although the overall program for each field remained the same, enhancements were made, including the installation of improved drainage systems, slight modifications to the grading, and the addition of a shock-absorbing and drainage pad, all of which contributed to the revitalization of these heavily utilized facilities. Furthermore, the Verde Design team collaborated closely with City personnel to implement upgrades to fencing and backstops, repaint a substantial retaining wall, and enhance accessibility in accordance with ADA standards. The installation of updated site furnishings further completed the comprehensive transformation of the play areas.
