Ron brings more than 50 years of experience in K-12 and higher education facility operation, planning, and construction to Verde Design. His diverse background as an educator, coach, athletic director, and school administrator equips him with a distinct understanding of the on-going challenges faced by educational institutions. During his six-year tenure as Manager of Community Services and Construction for the San Jose Unified School District, he was instrumental in assessing bond measures for facility funding and negotiating contracts with various stakeholders, including vendors, architects, and contractors. Ron’s collaborative approach involved engaging with communities, administrators, educators, and staff to foster consensus and effectively execute facility plans. He also served as a crucial liaison among the local community, District Board members, the City of San Jose, and the District, ensuring comprehensive communication and involvement throughout the process.
