In partnership with Valley Crest, BKF Engineers, and Gonzalez Architects, Verde Design was tasked with the rebranding and modernization of Airport Place. Spanning several blocks, Airport Place contains a wide array of businesses from restaurants to banks to corporate offices.The strategy, consisting of a cohesive signage package, coordinated planting scheme, and improved street and entry aesthetics, aims to improve wayfinding and modernize the complex as well as reduce its overall environmental impact. Replacing over 86,000 sf of spray-irrigated lawn, the new drought tolerant planting, no-mow sod, and drip irrigation decreases water and maintenance costs and varies slightly throughout the complex to give each subarea its own identity while remaining unified.
