Bellarmine College Preparatory / San Jose

Verde Design has partnered with Bellarmine College Preparatory since 2005, consistently providing the institution with modern and advanced athletic facilities. Recently entrusted with the enhancement of the school’s outdated athletic infrastructure, our team has created a state-of-the-art venue dedicated to track and field, lacrosse, and soccer. This initiative has culminated in the recent establishment of a baseball complex that reflects the school’s dedication to achieving excellence in both academic and athletic pursuits.

We engaged in close partnership with School’s administration and the City of San Jose to outline a comprehensive plan for the enhancements. The newly constructed football and soccer/lacrosse fields feature advanced infill synthetic turf and are built upon a specially engineered porous drainage and shock attenuation pad, replacing the conventional stone base. For the baseball facility, we upgraded the field to a sustainable synthetic turf surface, significantly increasing its usability.

In collaboration with Devcon Construction, the project encompassed the addition of ground-level dugouts with integrated bleacher seating, a new locker and team room building, an all-weather covered hitting and training center, enhanced perimeter fencing, a netted backstop, and premium chair-back seating behind home plate. By incorporating architectural elements that resonate with the existing campus design, the new facility fosters a unified aesthetic that aligns with other recent developments. Furthermore, we played a supportive role in navigating the project’s approval process with the City of San Jose.
