Verde Design has partnered with De Anza College on multiple projects to transform and modernize the campus’s athletic facilities into a cohesive, high-performance environment that supports a wide range of collegiate and community uses. The collaboration began with the development of a state-of-the-art NCAA track and field facility, featuring a synthetic turf field for football and soccer, new spectator seating, and upgraded restrooms and storage. The facility supports championship-level competition while also accommodating broader campus activities. Accessibility improvements and enhanced circulation were integrated throughout the site to ensure inclusive use.
Building on this foundation, Verde Design led the redesign and reconstruction of additional athletic venues, including a natural grass baseball field and a synthetic turf soccer field—both recognized for their quality and performance.
Most recently, the team designed and delivered six regulation beach volleyball courts, complete with school-branded furnishings, a signature entry plaza and arch, scoreboard, and perimeter circulation paths. Supporting infrastructure includes Wi-Fi and live-streaming capabilities, sports lighting, audio systems, drainage and utility upgrades, and a prefabricated storage building. Safety and functionality were further enhanced with perimeter fencing, ADA accessibility improvements, and a 30-foot-tall protective netting system between adjacent facilities.
Collectively, these projects have elevated De Anza College’s athletic program by creating a modern, versatile, and fully integrated campus athletic complex. These improvements support both high-level competition and daily student use, reinforcing the campus as a premier destination for athletics and recreation.
