Verde Design provided planning, conceptual design and construction administration for the challenging upgrade of Foothill Community College’s athletic facilities. Our designers optimized use of the hillside site through careful field layouts, state-of-the-art irrigation systems, and landscape elements which include hardscape and bioswales for storm water management. Noise and view concerns were addressed by recessing fan seating and scaling down the backstop neeting. The new softball stadium was named ASBA’s 2011 Outstanding Single-Field Facility.
