Verde Design worked with Gilbane Building Company to renovate the athletic facilities at Laney College. Verde was responsible for the design of the new synthetic turf baseball field and also designed input for the site entry and parking facility. The parking lot utilizes bioswales and detention systems to recharge ground water, thereby mitigating storm water impact on the campus and the city storm water systems. Provisions were made for solar panels that were added to the parking areas to provide both shade and green power.
