Ron brings over four decades of expertise in K-12 and higher education facility planning and construction to Verde Design. His background as an educator, coach, athletic director, and school administrator provides him with a unique perspective on the persistent challenges that schools and colleges encounter. In his role as Manager of Community Services and Construction for the San Jose Unified School District, a position he held for six years, Ron played a pivotal role in evaluating bond measures aimed at funding facility construction. He was responsible for negotiating contracts with various stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and subcontractors, while also overseeing multiple construction projects. His collaborative efforts involved working closely with administrators, educators, coaches, and staff to build consensus and effectively implement facility plans. Additionally, he acted as a vital link between the local community, District Board members, the City of San Jose, and the San Jose Unified School District, ensuring that all parties were engaged and informed throughout the process.
