San José State’s Spartan Stadium has become a popular year-round sporting and entertainment venue. To meet usage demands on the stadium, the university elected to replace the existing natural turf with a synthetic turf system. This reduces the amount of field use time lost to inclement weather conditions and substantially reduces maintenance time and water usage. The design process included a collaboration between the Verde Design team, the San José State University Facilities Development & Operations department, and Spartan Athletics.
