SAINT IGNATIUS COLLEGE PREPARATORY

SAINT IGNATIUS COLLEGE PREPARATORY / San Francisco

Saint Ignatius College Preparatory secured a lease for a site in Pacifica to establish additional athletic fields, complementing its primary campus located in San Francisco. Given the diverse range of sports that would utilize the facility, it was crucial to optimize every inch of the property. Verde Design was tasked with creating overlapping field layouts to accommodate the various teams that will practice and compete on the grounds.

The resulting multi-use synthetic turf athletic complex features a baseball infield, a softball infield, and a versatile field area that functions as the outfield for both baseball and softball. This multi-use section is also marked for soccer and field hockey, enhancing its functionality. The facility is equipped with vertical chain link fencing for the backstop, bullpens, and dugouts. Additionally, the project includes a double station batting cage that is open to the elements, as well as five rows of at-grade bleachers for spectators. To further enhance accessibility, the lower parking area was redesigned to increase the number of available parking spaces, and perimeter fencing was installed around the site.
