Arcadia High School / Arcadia

Verde Design was appointed to spearhead the enhancement of the track and field facility at Arcadia High School, which serves as the venue for the prestigious annual Arcadia Invitational Track Meet. This event is recognized as one of the most elite high school track and field competitions in the United States, often referred to as the “Home of National Records.” The Arcadia Invitational draws top-tier high school athletes from across the nation and around the globe, having been the stage for 32 national high school records and contributing to the development of 179 U.S. Olympians.

Aware of the facility’s importance, Verde Design approached the project with careful consideration and respect for its legacy. Our contributions included design and construction support for the resurfacing of the track and designated zones, the installation of new long jump and triple jump pits, the creation of a new shot put area, the addition of site fencing, the establishment of an accessible path of travel, and enhancements to parking, restrooms, and gates to improve accessibility. The culmination of these upgrades results in a facility that is not only functional but also befitting of an event of such magnitude.
