Student athletes are now benefiting from new athletic facilities and sports fields at nine high schools in Elk Grove Unified School District.
Beginning in 2017, the District partnered with Verde Design for district-wide athletic improvements as part of the Measure M bond program. The Verde Design team provided Florin, Franklin, Laguna Creek, and Pleasant Grove High Schools with design services for new all-weather track and field venues, and a field replacement at Valley High School. The project also included upgrades to the paths of travel for accessibility, perimeter fencing, and landscaping. Drainage and electrical infrastructure improvements were also implemented.
In 2020, Verde Design completed improvements at the remaining high schools’ track & fields. The high schools include Elk Grove High School, Valley High School, Sheldon High School, Monterey Trail High School, and Cosumnes Oaks High School. These projects support Elk Grove Unified School District’s goal of providing athletic programs to students that enhance their physical, social, and academic development.
