In a collaborative design effort with Populus Architects, Verde Design re-imagined the plaza to San Jose Convention Center’s newly renovated entry. Completed in Fall 2013, the new plaza is an gem located in San Jose’s rejuvenated downtown area. Offsetting hardscape with planting, the plaza maintains its function as a large gathering space while miniature forests of ginkgo and bamboo interject intimate, natural moments into the urban core. The seating terraces function as an extension of the convention center, utilizing sustainable, organic infill synthetic turf that is able to withstand high traffic during events. Learn more >
