Santa Clara Unified School District selected Verde Design to undertake a comprehensive redesign of the athletic facilities at Santa Clara High School. This project involved the conversion of the stadium field, as well as the baseball and softball fields, from natural grass to synthetic turf, alongside the multi-use practice fields. The scope of the project encompassed the installation of new synthetic turf, along with essential utility enhancements, including upgrades to drainage, irrigation systems, and electrical conduits across all athletic fields on the campus. Furthermore, the Verde Design team implemented modifications to the softball dugouts and fencing, replaced drinking fountains, and adjusted the positioning of the football goal posts. The project also prioritized accessibility, introducing a new ADA-compliant ramp to facilitate improved access throughout the area.
The redesigned stadium field is striped for both football and soccer, while the baseball and softball fields have been maintained alongside a multi-use field that accommodates various sports, including soccer, practice football, lacrosse, field hockey, and practice softball.
