Verde Design was recently selected by the City of Newark to provide design services for a new skate park within Sportsfield Park, a 30-acre community park located in the southwest portion of the City. The new, 18,000 square-foot recreation facility will provide comparable features to those incorporated at the Union City and Fremont Skate Parks, including elevated and depressed skate features, a street course, spectator seating, and structures that serve both beginner and expert skaters.

When completed, the skate park will serve as an activated, multi-use recreational destination, and as an enduring contribution to the Newark community. The project is planned to kick-off this month, with an expected competition date of October 2018.
