The recent completion of new state-of-the-art athletic facilities at Palomar College in San Marcos has been met with enthusiasm from students, faculty, and the local community. Verde Design has successfully produced the construction drawings for a comprehensive multi-sport facility, which features an advanced synthetic turf football field and stadium, as well as a modern softball field and training resources. The project includes various components such as field design, fencing, goal netting systems, backstop netting, dugout netting, bullpens, batting cages, and essential infrastructure like field grading, drainage, and irrigation systems. With these facilities now operational, Palomar College’s football team will be able to host home games on campus for the first time in program history, representing a significant milestone for the program, which is the largest within the Comets Athletics organization, supporting approximately 200 student athletes each year, along with 11 coaches, trainers, and support staff.
Palomar College’s esteemed softball program, which has achieved eight consecutive titles in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, will benefit from significantly enhanced facilities. The upgrades feature expanded seating and a better practice area, creating an optimal environment for the skilled student-athletes participating in the program. Following the recent completion of the project, Verde Design is committed to ensuring the efficient implementation and timely delivery of these athletic facilities for Palomar College.
