Verde Design is proud to celebrate the Placer Valley Soccer Complex being recognized with the 2026 American Public Works Association (APWA) Sacramento Chapter Project of the Year Award in the Structures category.

The APWA Project of the Year Awards recognize outstanding public works projects that demonstrate excellence in project management, design, construction, sustainability, community relations, and collaboration among the owner, design team, contractor, and construction management professionals. This recognition reflects the strong partnership between the City of Roseville, Verde Design, Robert A. Bothman Construction, and the entire project team in delivering a premier regional sports complex for the community.

Originally envisioned as a six-field complex, the project expanded during design into a 50+ acre regional sports destination featuring ten full-sized synthetic turf soccer fields designed to support year-round recreational, tournament, and championship play. Supporting improvements included sports lighting, concessions, restrooms, parking, pedestrian circulation, landscaping, and site infrastructure to create a first-class experience for athletes and visitors.

Verde Design provided programming, planning, design, construction documentation, and bidding support throughout the project. Completed in November 2025, the facility has quickly become a premier destination for youth and adult athletics throughout Northern California.

We are honored to have partnered with the City of Roseville, Robert A. Bothman Construction, and the entire project team on this award-winning project. Congratulations to everyone whose collaboration, dedication, and commitment helped make the Placer Valley Soccer Complex a great success for the City of Roseville.
