Since 2007, Verde Design has established itself as a reliable collaborator with the Stockton Unified School District, focusing on the enhancement of athletic facilities across its four high schools and garnering numerous project accolades. The most recent upgrades to the athletic facilities at Franklin High School have resulted in the receipt of two prestigious awards from the American Sports Builders Association. The comprehensive renovation of the exterior athletic amenities was designed to better serve both the student body and the local community.

The newly built stadium, which was honored as the 2022 Outstanding Outdoor Track & Field Facility of the Year, provides a cutting-edge venue for track and field, soccer, and football competitions. This facility features centralized ticketing and concession areas, restrooms for both home and visiting teams, grandstand bleacher seating, advanced LED lighting for the sports field, a scoreboard, synthetic turf for the playing surface, prominent marquee signage, and a press box, all contributing to an enhanced experience for athletes and spectators alike.

The comprehensive athletic master plan, originally crafted by Verde Design in 2007, proposed the establishment of a specialized high school stadium located at the campus entrance. The inauguration of this stadium signifies the commencement of a broader initiative aimed at enhancing the school’s athletic facilities. In accordance with the master plan, recent advancements encompass the development of new baseball and softball fields, which have been recognized as the 2023 Multi-Field Facility Award Winner, in addition to the construction of tennis and hard courts. Meanwhile, the aquatic center and golf practice facility are presently under construction, further contributing to the school’s athletic infrastructure.
