Stagg-High-School-PoolVerde Desigstagg-hs-pool-nightn, along with our partners at Aquatic Design Group and Robert A. Bothman, recently completed construction of the competition pool for Phase III of Stagg High School’s facility improvements project. While earlier phases included facilities for land-based students—a new synthetic turf stadium with all-weather track, synthetic turf baseball fields, and natural turf multi-use fields—the state-of-the-art competition pool is for Stagg’s more amphibious student body members. Phase III also included several areas adjacent to the pool: a new tennis court facility, basketball courts, handball courts, and two competition sized natural turf fields with perimeter running track. In addition to Stagg High School, Verde Design developed individual Master Plans for Chavez, Edison, and Franklin High Schools in the Stockton Unified School District. Since 2008, these schools have received phased facility upgrades ranging from new stadiums with all-weather tracks, synthetic turf and natural turf fields, tennis courts, hard courts, circulation upgrades, ADA compliance upgrades, entry plazas, concession buildings, and site landscaping—of which several facilities have won awards from the American Sports Builders Association.
